I’ve been looking forward to getting married for years, but there’s something about pre-weddings that’s been keeping me from doing it in person.
I’ve had to travel, shop, find a place to sit down, and get dressed for the ceremony.
But now I’ve finally gotten married, I’m finally able to get back to the comfort of my own home.
But it’s not just the ceremony itself that I miss.
As the groom and I prepare for the wedding, I find myself thinking about everything from the color of the bridesmaid dress to how I will dress my kids in their prom dresses, and about the music and the sound of the fireworks.
I miss those simple things about my wedding day, the way it feels to be able to go home to my husband.
I want to celebrate it the way I’ve always celebrated it, to have a special moment in my life, and to be with my family.
But in order to get there, I need to dress the part.
