Alyssa Milano has revealed her first ever solo show in the UK and she says she has “never been more excited” about her new music.
Milano, who was born in India, is now performing at a number of high-profile festivals across the country as she prepares for her next tour.
The singer told the Independent: “I had to get away from my parents for a while and so I’m in a different world and I’m really looking forward to the show.”
“It was the most magical, beautiful experience I’ve ever had,” she said.
“It’s amazing to feel free, to feel like you can be yourself and just feel your emotions and have that joy in yourself and not worry about anyone else.”
Milano and her mother, a model, moved to New York from India in 2010.
She now has four children and said that when she returned to India she found it difficult to “be myself” because of her upbringing.
“The world was not as accepting and it was hard for me to find acceptance,” she added.
“So I had to work to be who I am.
It’s not easy.”
She added: “My mother is a model and she had a very good life and she’s really proud of her daughter.”
“I’ve been working really hard, I’m trying to become a great singer and a great actress.
I’ve been living a really good life,” she told The Independent.
“I want to be a very beautiful woman.”
“And my mom is a good role model, and she told me that it was her responsibility to teach me the importance of having a family and having a life,” Milano added.
The UK tour will start in February and will include two nights at the Alexandra Palace, in London.
Milan will be accompanied by her mother and a small group of friends.
