The Wall St Journal has a roundup of what’s going on at weddings.
The article says the number of brides in the United States fell for the second consecutive year, to just under 2.1 million in 2015, according to the Census Bureau.
The Bureau said the number is now slightly higher than last year, with a total of 2.7 million brides, down from 2.8 million in 2014.
The Census Bureau said that the number and size of marriages declined for the third consecutive year.
It noted that while the number rose by 1.2 million, the percentage of marriages that are single increased by just 0.2 percentage points.
The numbers have not changed much since 2008, when there were a record 6.7 percent of weddings in which the couple had children.
In 2015, the number was just 1.7.
